How can I make a resume without using Microsoft?

Save & Share

I need to make a resume right away but the problem is I dont have Microsoft Office programs. An I cant afford to go out and but them.

Is there any way that I can make a resume with templates without using Microsoft??

You might also want to check out the online version of Office. It’s fairly new, so I have not had much opportunity to use it, but I think it should work well.

Best of luck.

Download Open Office. It has a very powerful word processor that saves in Word format. That’s the 1997-2003 format. It’s a pretty big program. Has a word processor, spreadsheet, basically everything office has except a calendar. It’s very well known. I wrote my resume on it.

Sure.

Use OpenOffice Writer.

Or Scribus.

Both are free and legal.

Just to add info for you about OpenOffice: It’s legit, it’s free, it can open and save as almost any MS Office file (so if you need your resume to be in .doc format, you would do a Save As to that format). You can find it at http://www.openoffice.org.

Hi, I have good news for you.

OpenOffice is a free substitute for Microsoft word. Just download it and use that.

If you’re looking for an unonventional resume, then you can try Britetab.com. It’s one of many online resume builders, which incorporate pictures, video, etc. Good luck!
